Harbert Retail Represents Landlord in Deal Bringing Burger 101 to Boaz

Harbert Retail’s Casey Howard and Lacey Scott represented the landlord in a lease deal brining Burger 101 to the former Hwy 55 restaurant property located at 1117 US Hwy 431, Boaz, AL. This will mark the second location for Burger 101 which currently has a location in Gadsden, AL.

The property includes a 2,152-square-foot freestanding building, built in 2023, with a high-capacity drive-thru and is positioned along US 431, Boaz’s primary retail corridor. The site benefits from strong fundamentals, including traffic counts exceeding 31,000 vehicles per day and proximity to a dense concentration of national retailers and QSR brands such as McDonald’s, Waffle House, Taco Bell, Walgreens and more.

“This asset was ideal for Burger 101,” said Casey Howard of Harbert Retail. “High traffic counts, established retail nearby, and prime visibility at a lighted intersection made this an ideal location for Burger 101’s entry into the Boaz market.”

This transaction continues Harbert Retail’s momentum in repositioning and monetizing former Hwy 55 properties across the Southeast. The team recently completed lease transactions at former Hwy 55 locations in Gallatin and Fayetteville, Tennessee, and Muscle Shoals and Guntersville, Alabama with Taco Bell, Wendy’s, and Guthrie’s, respectively, and facilitated the sales of a former Hwy 55 locations in Kingsland, Georgia to Layne’s Chicken Fingers, and in Fort Payne, Alabama, to Cook Out.
