Harbert Retail Completes Final Lease at Valley Village Retail Center, Achieving 100% Occupancy

Harbert Retail is pleased to announce the successful leasing of the final available space at Valley Village retail center, located at 700-724 Valley Avenue in Homewood, AL. The transaction brings the retail center to 100% occupancy, a significant milestone achieved by the Harbert Retail team, bringing the center from 50% occupancy in less than 18 months.

The 5,200-square-foot space was leased to the Mother’s Milk Bank of Alabama (MMBAL), a vital non-profit organization dedicated to providing screened and pasteurized donor human milk to premature and sick infants in need across the state.

Casey Howard and Lacey Scott of Harbert Retail represented the landlord in the transaction. This final lease caps an impressive effort to fully stabilize the property, underscoring Harbert Retail’s expertise in leasing and management.

The tenant, Mother’s Milk Bank of Alabama, was represented by Tika Ramchandani and Libby Lassiter with Tessa Commercial. The new location will allow MMBAL to expand its critical operations and service capabilities. The Valley Village center, which is managed and leased by Harbert Retail, is now fully occupied, contributing to the continued revitalization of the Valley Avenue corridor in Homewood.
